Amazing how much money one has to spend to truly have a car that is quicker than the rest.

Is that the only cars this year? Have to wonder why they even bothered. Aside from the 458, ZL1, and GT500 I don't know that I could care any less. WTF?

Oof, the RS5 beat the M5 and M6? I would've been more interested in how the 4 cylinder Genesis coupe fared against the BRZ.

Damn Chevy is on their game lately. ZR1 holding its own against the new Viper, and the Camaro taking it to the Mustang big time. This next gen of both should be pretty compelling.

No WRX or STi? Ugh.

Why would they have done that? They really only do new models or significant changes (or I guess cars they've never done before if they miss one after a change). Look in their archives. They did the 2011 model STI. It sits .1s faster than the genesis on here (and .7s slower than a cobalt SS 😀).

Really surprising the Focus ST got smoked by the BRZ.

Camaro SS 1LE - Amazed how quick it was! 1LE is only a $3,500 option.

I was in Encinitas today and saw a yellow 458 Italia driving up the 101. I may have noticed a Lexus LFA but none of the other cars on this list would stand out... what your car can do really is meaningless. Especially on the street.

I'd like to see the BOSS mustang run against the ZR1.

awww, butt hurt much? (i'll save this and make sure to use it any time you say 'car a is better because it can do xxx')

the Camaro 1LE is one HELL of a bargain.

Why would I be butt hurt? I rode down there on my Ducati, not like I was hurting for performance.

But would go unnoticed most of the time...

Whereas a Ferrari or Lotus or Lambo, etc, turns heads. People stop and look.

Ferrari and Lambo are bargains?

I don't fit in Lotus' (haven't tried the evora) they are just too small and a COMPLETE pita to get out of.

No, but sometimes you get what you pay for.

You can hardly tell a base Camaro from a high perf one.

for 8x the price of an 1LE, i'll allow the Ferrari to look italian...

I also know I would not be needing $10k services every 12,000 miles...

IIRC, the Evora-S is as quick or quicker than a 1LE.

The base Evora timed a 3:08 which is 7 seconds slower than the 1LE. (comparing different years of tests, some differences might be based upon weather)

also, iirc, the editors stated they could gain 2-3 seconds in the 1LE if not for a missed shift.

If they don't know how to drive then why trust these times? 🙂

Well, an S has quite a bit more power than the regular Evora.

And no one cares about track times, really. An S hits 60 in the low 4 second range. So it could possibly dust off a 1LE from a stoplight. 😀

Regardless of these results, I still don't think I'd ever buy a new Camaro over any of the models on this list.
