I cheated on Binding of Isaac though, and I feel bad cause it gave me a bunch of achievements other than that one. I would have done it normally if I didn't read that it would take hours.

lol. You feel bad about cheating for achievements?

I remember last Christmas sale, I cheated, hacked, modded, used trainers, and loaded other people's save files for almost every single one of those achievements. I don't feel a thing. ^_^

According to my Steam profile, I got 44 of those achievements. (Most of it was coal and coupons, of course)

Achievements are bullshit.
You arent achieving anything. Yur sitting on your ass fucking around all day.
Now there's nothing wrong with that but at least admit the truth for christs sake.

I can't recall if I voted on the first day or not. I know that I didn't know about the badge achievement until a couple days in when someone mentioned it here and did notice that they did change it later from doing every vote to vote every day.

I've voted every time so far, but I know one didn't register because I got that achievement one vote later than I should have.

PM me if you want to get in on a 4 pack of torchlight 2, Im thinking of buying it (will def if its on sale tomorrow)

I saw someone earlier that wanted to but I forgot who sorry!

Dawn of War Franchise Pack - $30

Folks, that is some insanely hot price right there. I already own most of the games and put just as much hours into this series as the original Starcraft and more so than the 2nd SC. This is an absolutely must for RTS fans or those looking to start out and see what the fuss is about in RTS.

To me this is one of best deal in the entire summer sale.

Don't know if I'd agree it's the best deal in the sale, but I agree about the insanely hot price. This is a LOT of really solid RTS action imo.

Much like those that take an IQ test online enough times to score genius level 🙂

I'm on the fence about Serious Sam and Fable III. Don't expect amazing out of either, but are they entertaining enough?

I liked Serious Sam, haven't played the latest. They were great FPS with a lot of humor in the dialogue.

Just downloaded Batman's Pack for $24.99. I was going to continue with Witcher 2 (just finished Witcher 1), but the gameplay is all different and more complicated.

there were times i voted on my phone that I'm not sure if it went through.

Any real reward for this achievement besides a virtual medal or whatever ?

I've got one of those 75% off trine 2 coupons from the summerseal promo along with a free copy of shadowgrounds, and I'm looking to trade if someone has anything interesting.

Wow, Galactic Civilizations II: Ultimate Edition (never heard of it) sure has some stellar reviews. It's currently up to be voted on as the community's choice pick. It'll be $4.99 if it wins.

Besides the fantasy settings, TES and DA are completely and totally different. I'm sure you can find hundreds of detailed descriptions on the web, but in short, TES is focused on an open sandbox with realtime combat, and DA is slightly (if not completely) on rails and features tactical combat more akin to KOTOR and similar games. If you're interested in beautiful graphics, open worlds, and basic hack-and-slash combat, TES is for you. If you prefer a more guided experience, slightly less beautiful graphics (but still good imo), and more involved, tactical combat, DA is for you. Personally, if you like RPGs, I think you should play both.

Interesting description.

I have to say I find the combat in Dragon age a pain in the butt there's no involvement.

I missed it a couple of days ago when it was a daily deal; here's hoping that I get another chance at it. Sure does look like good fun.

It's really the player's choice on all but the hardest battles. If you want to use the players' Tactics (basically a few automatic macros that will dictate each party members' actions) and only control your main character, you can still win most fights. But that's not what the game is really designed for. It's designed to allow you to position your team precisely, use crowd control (knockdowns, paralysis, fear, poison, fire to separate groups, etc.), and give very specific orders to every member of your team through every second of each fight. For people who enjoy that style of combat, DA:O has a lot to offer. Obviously, TES offers very little if any of that approach, and adopts a more hack-and-slash approach to combat in favor of focusing on a beautiful, enormous, sandbox where you can do anything you want all the time (including ignore the main quest entirely and still see and do almost everything the game has to offer).
