2012 Election: The Candidate Match Game

John Huntsman. Not really a surprise to me. It says Obama as well, but his view that the government is allowed to force me to buy products from private business is too horrific for me to ever vote for the guy.

Got the same. But it's really too limited to say much about it. I disagree on far more points with those than shown in this test. But Bachman and Ron Paul ending on 0% agreement doesn't surprise me.

You think that's bad, I got Romney as expected, but Bachmann and Perry (both of whom would cause me to vote for Obama) came in second and third. Just goes to show why I base my votes on what the candidates have done, not what they say when trying to get my vote.
 
Paul first, then Gingrich/Huntsman tied with 40.1%.

I wish he was willing to reduce SS expenditures and pledge to pardon people in jail for tax code violations. Even though he's not going to do that, that's definitely not going to keep me from supporting him 100% though because a $313Bn deficit for FY2014 is nowhere near as bad as one that's 15 times that. The only other thing I think he hasn't been perfect on is IP. He's never called for complete abolition of it that I'm aware of.

Tell me about it-Ron Paul was my #2 and Bachmann, of all people, #3. I'm greatly distressed that Bachmann purportedly agrees with me 25.2% of the time.

I did find the multiple choice answers very limited and structured. I usually went with the best fit, but if I was totally honest I would have answered "none of the above" nearly always. For example, health care the choice was between the Obama plan as one extreme and various GOP proposals-nothing for those of us who feel Obama's plan is far too weak, but is a noble first step. Immigration-absolutely nothing mentioned about reining in employers recruiting and hiring illegals.

Obama @ 60ish Huntman and paul at 35ish. Pisses me off that there's more than one issue with no reasonable stances in my opinion. Why I tend not to vote.
 
7 of 11 for Obama, 1 of 11 for each Romney and Paul. Meaning 2 positions of 11 don't fit anyone according to what I think is a poorly defined quiz.

But still, with the general elections so many months away, unknowable future events are likely to be the end deciding factors.

I wouldn't be too distressed if someone like Bachmann is 3rd on your list. The poll doesn't evaluate social issues at all other than gay marriage. Only economic and foreign policy.
