2012 BMW M5 Revealed

"Its peak torque, yes all 510 pound-feet of twist, arrives at just 1,500 rpm."

Yikes. Time to buy stock in tire companies.

Probably will be my next car if the AWD rumors are true. If not same situation and will buy an Audi S class.

So, how does one go about starting another petition to get rid of Van Donkey Hookwind? (or however you spell his retarded name)

Cross-shop an S class with an M5? 😵 RS at least. 😉

Anyway, car looks great, shame it won't sound as good as the previous V10 which was amazing.

For the money, which is likely to start at £60k or even £65k, I wouldn't be considering it over other cars such as a 997 GT3 RS, no way.

Neither would anyone else. Who cross-shops large sedans with sports coupes? Not sure how pricing differs in the UK, but here in the US, a GT3 RS starts at $185k which is likely more than twice the base price of the incomming M5.

I think he must be talking about a used 997. I would still have the M5 since it's not just a very fast car, it's also a comfortable luxury cruiser you can use every day.
The GT3 RS is pure track day car, it doesn't even have back seats.

How is this car any way comparable to a 997? They're not even remotely in the same market, except perhaps that they both have 4 wheels. They're also not even remotely in the same price bracket.

That's the ugliest Pontiac I've ever seen. What a nasty organic messy blobby mess. I hate Chris Bangle.

Ah.. so you actually love Chris Bangle. F10 is designed by Adrian van Hooydonk (a successor of Mr. Bangle) and he got rid of several Bangle's design cues including infamous Bangle Butt from 5 series with F10.

See? You all will miss Mr. Bangle. :whiste:
