This. It amazes me that people have such short memories... E30 M3, anyone?

They've had them, but they haven't tried to sell them in American for along time.

I've never understood why everyone is so obsessed with the E30 M3. Unless you need the 4 cylinder specs to get into a racing class I think the 325 would be preferable.

i actually think it's a huge improvement from the current 1 series abomination... not saying much though.

are you like 400 lbs?

I'm 6'1 and I'm completely comfortable in my 328.

I'm 6'5" and completely comfortable in my M3. I don't even have the seat even close to how far back it can go. Plenty of space. His problem definitely has to be a girth problem or McMansionitis

Meh, the more I look at the pics the more I think about how I felt like when I saw the original... And then I bought one... It's a grower.

it's terriblugly. The X1 too with it's flat wide front end - hope that never makes it on our streets.

Yup, thats pretty god damn ugly.

Doesnt matter to me. I wont be buying a 1 or 3 series. Only 5'3" but I feel cramped in the 335. Had to roll my shoulders in and tuck my legs back. Was not a comfortable ride at all. (Though I certainly appreciate a 320 HP twin turbo.) Would need at least a 5 for the space, and I cant afford that.
Ditto the Mustang, Camero, Charger, Corvette and plenty of others. Too tiny.

You're 5'3" and feel cramped? Is that how tall you are or how wide you are?
I'm about 6' and find all of those cars have plenty of space in them. Granted I don't wiegh 400lbs. I don't even have the seat all the way back in my Mustang GT.

As for the 1 series, I've always thought it was ugly. I saw one just the other day and commented on how it looks like a mini Bmw body with a fullsized roofline and really tall windows. It doesn't look proportionate at all.
