fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu

From behind it just looks like a GTI for some reason.

This thing isn't out yet but Car & Driver already rated it best car of the decade.

lol.

Does anyone else think that looks like the front of a storm trooper helmet or is it just me

HAHAHA now that you mention it, you're right.

The hatch/rear isn't even that bad, it's the front/sides that are ghastly.

What they need to do is fire Vanky Donk as well (or however you spell his retarded name), he's basically an incarnation of Bangle. They both share the same design philosophy and probably was in bed together - literally.

It's almost as if BMW has two design teams.

Branch 1: Z4, New 5-Series, 6-Series...3-Series?
Branch 2: 5-Series GT, 7-Series, 1-Series...

Glad people finally realizing Bangle was doing a fine job with BMW management and its design desire. lol

People that doesn't know any better would tend to think so - the lesser of two evil. What BMW has to do is get rid of Bangle's doppelganger as well and make the guy that designed the E46 in charge of the department (who by the way is designing F-series). Only then you'll see changes for the better.

Edit: OTOH, I showed Mrs. Sssnail this and she said "OMG, it's so ugly, it's cuuutttteeee. It's like a Pug, you know, one of those things where they're so ugly, they're cuuuutttteeeeee. I like it!"

So there you have it - females love it (one confirmed) :confused:o_O

Yup, thats pretty god damn ugly.

Doesnt matter to me. I wont be buying a 1 or 3 series. Only 5'3" but I feel cramped in the 335. Had to roll my shoulders in and tuck my legs back. Was not a comfortable ride at all. (Though I certainly appreciate a 320 HP twin turbo.) Would need at least a 5 for the space, and I cant afford that.
Ditto the Mustang, Camero, Charger, Corvette and plenty of others. Too tiny.

are you like 400 lbs?

I'm 6'1 and I'm completely comfortable in my 328.

Rear isn't too bad, and it makes more sense to have a hatch for a car that size.

Front looks horrible.

The back looks fine, though without the BMW logo I'd never have been able to identify it as a BMW.

The front is horrid. It looks like they took the ugliest features off a BMW SUV and crammed them onto a car. I'd take the appearance of a chrome-beak Acura *ANY* day over this buck-toothed storm trooper mask.

The front end is goofy...I actually like the rest and I think the interior is great.

But that front end is just hard to stomach. I will need to see it in person as I never liked the current 1 series in pictures, but I think it has a nice presence in person...but something about that front end still makes me think it will be ugly in person.

Seriously. I'm 5'11", 170lbs and perfectly fine in my 335i.

The front is ok for me. Fairly clean & simple - definite plus. Looks strong & powerful. Not gimmicky. Also not pretty. I'd prefer something a little... friendlier. But it is ok. Certainly looks like a BMW, which is another plus.

I love the rear and all other angles.

I like that the interior is simple, with nice accents and lines. But has a bit of the "pregnant" look which I dislike.

Yuck! This is much more ugly than the previous 1, which I didn't think was THAT bad. This is horrible though...

It's just those lights. The overall lines of the car aren't bad, but those lights just ruin the car.

Edit: Both headlights and tail lights...

Sure it looks ugly, and the market will decide its fate. Consider the X6 - the market has decided it's a fail.
