Never played Pikmin, but good to know you think the game is good. Wonder if I will ever get through half of these games in my library.

I know Steam was really buggy yesterday so I thought I'd point out (as I suspect many have missed this): those inventory items (free games, coupons, etc.) can be gifted and traded to other users. So if you have coupons you'll never use (like a 50% off Valve and a 33% of CGSG games coupon like I have) you can trade them for something you will use.

That should be interesting. Let the Anandtech Steam inventory gift market begin!

Well I have Portal 1, HL2, and a 33% off a Valve game ATM if anyone wants to trade. Not sure what I'd want to trade for though.

Checked this morning and I'm still missing a prize for checking my inventory and getting the Orcs Must Die Achievement.

Interestingly, I bought the Bunch of Heroes 4 pack and gifted two of them. Both were accepted an installed, however, my inventory still shows that I have 3 gifts to give.

Lastly, the only gift I did receive is for 25% off a Valve product. I never get the good stuff 🙁

Congrats. Better than the coupons most are getting. Remember that lump of coal can either

1) be combined with 6 others to get you another gift from the gift pile (likely a coupon, but maybe a game!), or
2) be used as an entry on 1/2 for their big giveaway.

Personally, I'd rather get coal than the coupons, but it's only day 1 and I'm confident my luck will change (think positive right?)

Spiral Knight fix worked for me and it's the smallest download. Got my second item after the spiral knights tab showed up.

hmm. didn't work for me. Tried loading Team Fortress 2 and still short one item (from listed total), and 3 items in my inventory.

First team I actually loaded TF2. :hmm:

I'll be updating the OP each day when the new sales go live. Only exception is if something comes up and I wont be at my computer around 1pm EST

I just wish the tasks to do were games I had. The Orcs Must Die task was only in the first level, is that how these things are generally?

Server coding, both interface and actual gameplay, suck. You literally can not scroll through the list of games. You get one page of games, many of which are already full.
 
I've fogotten, do the daily achievments have to be completed that day to get the gift, or can you complete them later during the holiday sale?

I haven't played most of the games onthe first day's list and it'll take a while to complete the achievments I'm pretty sure.

Over the summer, when they had the tickets, you could do the achievements any day.
 
I saw the witcher 1 and 2, MW2, Tropico 4, Recettear: An Item Shop's Tale, Half life franchise sale and thats all I could catch before the store went down.
