Interesting, if pretty ghastly (IMHO) in terms of exterior appearance. I guess this is the replacement for the somewhat uncompetitive Nissan Rogue. I was interested to see that they're sticking with the CVT, but this time around Edmunds seems to actually like it.

Performance looks halfway respectable (for a FF minicrossover), matching up fairly close to the Mini Cooper S.

All of this is somewhat academic, but it's cool to see turbos really getting some new play. For a while in the late 90s/early 00s, they had all but disappeared. All of the Japanese premier sports cars had turbos for a long time :

Supra TT (i6/FR/TT)
300ZX TT (v6/FR/TT)
3000GT VR4 (v6/FA/TT)
RX7 (Rotary/FR/T/TT?)

A Nissan Versa 'SE' with the 1.6L Turbo and a 6-speed would be a cool little car, but that might be expecting too much.

Remember the Rav 4 coupe & the Isuzu Vehi Cross- yeah the Juke is following in there footsteps.

Juke is for men - Rogue for women.

One reveiw I read said that the driver could adjust the steering wheel weighting a couple other options in regards to handling/driving feedback. Pretty cool stuff for that price segment.

It sort of reminds me of those old Suzuki Sidekicks and X-90's in it's very limited appeal/function. Don't really seeing it catching on, but I appreciate the effort by Nissan.

I think it looks like a Frog, but I like it. What other car can have the stats of:
*Turbo
*AWD
*Can handle some off road driving (Shooting in the desert)
*Good MPG on paper (28-32 MPG)

The closest car I can think of is a WRX but not many cars that have turbo out there.
I'm waiting for the car to be seen as hideous by the general public, like the Aztec, and then hopefully the price will drop and I'll pick one up for cheap.

^^ yeah it's really not bad considering the price and initial positive reviews. It will be interesting to see if they're somewhat tunable. 1.6L is pretty small, but I'm thinking ~210hp or so wouldn't be pushing things too insanely.

After playing with the "build your own" system on Nissan's website it appears AWD is only available with the CVT. If you want a manual it forces FWD.

It makes like, what, 170 from the factory? 210 wouldnt be out of reach, assuming there are tuning companies willing to work on it

Also: lol at their disclaimer regarding USB devices..
Driving is serious business and requires your full attention.

I'm in the same camp, it's ugly, but in a good way. The only problem? It DOESN'T COME IN GREEN. How could Nissan have dropped the ball on this--Design a bulbous-eyed frog-car and not offer it in green? Even the Juke logo on the website is green FFS!

lol good catch there. I bet someone will custom paint one, hopefully without trying to put rubber-band tires on it and fake fender vents.
