The consensus on other forums is that this is actually a Lexus press car that was destined for the crusher from the get go. Nobody was able to completely confirm it but that is supposed what the video was.

Manual transmissions are a dying breed. We're (the human driver) quickly becoming the weakest link (goodbye!) in gearing control. It won't be long until you only find them on specific niche vehicles. The only thing that I dislike about my manumatic transmission is that I can't skip a gear while downshifting.

I still prefer rowing through the gears of a traditional manual. Who cares if it is slightly slower.

Is that even an ISF? It looks like its missing a lot of body kit. Look like an IS250 or something. Also notice the rotors are gone. I bet they stripped all parts of any value including the drive train. Not that much of a loss if you ask me.

Edit: nevermind it is. I was thinking LFA.

C'mon guys, it's a Lexus! I love my manual transmissions, but if I was buying a sport-lux commuter, I could live with an 8 speed auto (especially with rev-matched downshifts and shifts in the tenth of a second range). As far as autos go, it seems to be pretty competent.

I'd be more disappointed with the LFA not having a manual option, but IIRC it's more of a "look how much tech we can put in a car" than something to sell, so that's understandable too.

same here, doubt i'll buy a non manual car unless they completely stop making them.
