So, I'm about 70K miles into this truck.

Never did Anything other than oil changes.

The time is near for a big service. What should I have done?

PSA: Did the same thing with my last truck and I had it till about 140K miles with one "standard" service at 70k miles. At 140k miles I was sick of things like window motors and worn out seats. Pretty rock solid but it was a $2K truck with $3K in repairs needed.

Oh, found this for 60k and 90k service at ford.com:

eplace engine air filter
Replace climate controlled seat filters, if equipped
Rotate and inspect tires; check wheel end play and turning noise
Change engine oil and replace oil filter when indicated on vehicle message center or every 12 months, whichever occurs first
MEMO: Gas engine; Up to 6.0 quarts of oil (IOLM)
Inspect cooling system and hoses
Inspect complete exhaust system and heat shields
Inspect brake pads/shoes/rotors/drums, brake lines and hoses, and parking brake system
Inspect and lubricate all non-sealed steering linkage,ball joints,suspension joints,half and drive-shafts and u-joints
Perform multi-point inspection

Seriously, I just need oil changes? I already changed the engine air filter once. And I would never pay for heated seats. Even if I had millions. It's an ethical thing.

Modern vehicles pretty much just keep running, unless they were made in Europe. Now that timing belts are basically gone, you're probably looking at 150-200k in most vehicles (or more) before you need to do anything but replace oil and change wear items.

You usually do not need any major maintaince till 100k.
At 70k and less than 5 years old I would see if the trans filter has been changed. Check/top off the diff fluid.

Yup you're still at the standard inspecation and oil change. Now if it had a hard life, now or another 5-10K might be time to start considering a plug change early. But this was more of an issue with the 2007-2010 models than the 2011-2014 models.

The only things I would have definitely done differently are changed the transmission fluid and filter (if available) around 30k and 60k and replace brake pads/shoes and rotors if needed.

There's a lot you CAN do to breathe new life into it - shocks, ball joints, plugs & wires, clean injectors, fresh undercoating, etc. - but nothing that absolutely has to be done unless something is wrong. Alternators, water pumps, gaskets, etc. can go at any point, and they're more likely to die the longer they're in service, but there's really no point in changing them just to get something newer, unless they have a known service life or defect.

I'd replace the cabin air filters at that mileage (and remember there are 2 of them, one is on top of the other in the housing)

It isn't for the heated seats... It is for air conditioned seats.

So here is what I would do, but this is just me... so...

-Check belt for life and replace if within 10-15k of needing to be.
- Drain and replace coolant
- Drain/flush brake lines. (this is a seriously good thing to do)
- Drain and replace lube in rear end.
- Drain and replace Tranny fluid and filter.

TO some that may be overkill, but depending on your use of the truck it may be time to do some of those... and doing them now means, you'll never have to do them again if you only keep it another 70k or so. If I had to pick one, I'd flush the brakes and deal with the coolant. If you've been towing a lot, the tranny fluid might be a bit baked.
