Been thinking about the upcoming Superbowl. We're still a while away...but that's ok. I like making a pick for the Superbowl before the season starts every year.

I'll get right to it. I'll say the Superbowl game is going to be New Orleans Saints vs New England Patriots with the victor being New England. Also predicting we're due for a lame Superbowl game this year since the last two have been so great.

*picks are not final until the regular season kickoff ;)*

My track record is actually pretty good. Here's my picks from the previous four years:

Before the 2005-2006 season started I picked the Steelers to win it (They won!)

Before the 2006-2007 Season I picked the Colts to win it all (They did!)

Before the 2007-2008 Season I picked the Patriots to win it all ( They came in 2nd :( - thanks to the most ridiculous catch of all time by David Tyree )

Before the 2008-2009 season I picked the Steelers to win again (and they did! Though I did not imagine they'd be playing against the Cardinals)

So like the Patriot's 2007-2008 season I'm *almost* perfect.

Who do YOU got?

I'll go with Steelers and Giants.

I'm a huge colts fan so not liking Chargers, but I give Chargers in AFC championship

Redskins vs. Ravens

Ok everyone can stop laughing. My realistic picks are for the Ravens to meet up with the Saints. Ravens win. :(

Anyone want to put money on it? Pool it up...bets have to be placed before the first kickoff of the first game.

Bengals and Browns

The NFC sucks so bad, it will have to be 2 AFC teams. :)

Quick look at odds have these guys at under +1000

Vikings
Patriots
Steelers
Eagles
Chargers

Long shot = lions
Fav = Patriots

If you want to roll the dice, take the lions and gamble some. Odds wise steelers vs. giants is a low odd pick, patriots/cowboys being top pick.

The Colts have an easy schedule and are likely to have home field advantage for the playoffs.

Surprised a couple others picked the Saints to get in too. I thought I was going out on a limb there.

The way the Packers are playing I wouldn't be surprised to see them take it. I say their victim will be the Chargers.

lol, without evidence you could claim your prediction record is whatever you want it to be.

Picking the Colts now seems silly with the losses in personnel they've had and the AFC having so many other powerhouses.

I'm picking the Steelers to repeat. They had major injuries at RB and punter (replacements couldn't kick it over 40 yards to save their lives) and haven't had a decent kick return threat in forever. Coming in to this season they look to be healthy and ready to have strong play in all 3 of those areas...and considering they won a Superbowl without it last season, yeah, I like their chances again.
