i like the xc60 but don't see it as anything that special. i think they just picked it for the safety innovations. at least it makes more sense than the year they picked the turd-ass xc90.

taurus is nice. it feels like a proper big brother to the fusion, though it doesn't really fill the gap left by the vic/marquis/town car (or are they still making town cars?).

The new Taurus? LOL. Just because it's an improvement over the old Taurus (and a good car in general) doesn't make it the most appealing buy in it's segment.

The XC60 is solid, though.

for a big car, it's nearly unbeatable in its market segment. this is why i like ford and rag on GM- i'd rather be in a <30k taurus than a 37k CTS any day of the week. if only it was RWD.

It's not that big. The trunk capacity is nice, but the passenger capacity is smaller than the 2011 Sonata or current-gen Accord.

Appearance-wise, it's as bland as you can get.

I would take the CTS myself. 🙂

Nothing wrong with the Taurus, but I doubt many will cross-shop a Taurus (non-SHO) with a CTS.
