2010 feels a bit like 2007 :)

Which is great since 2007 was the best gaming year since 1998 imo. Theres a ton of sequels coming out or already out whose originals were released in 07, Mass effect 2, Bioshock 2, Supcom 2, Crysis 2 should be out this year as well. Although i dont like mentioning it because its garbage theres C&C4, C&C3 was another big hype 07 game. Plus SCII was announced in 07, now finally in 2010 theres a beta and everyones talking about SCII again just like after the announcement and the cherry on top is it will be released this year for certain, probably anyway Also theres other stuff like max payne 3 in the pipeline thats apparently coming 2010

Its shaping up to be a very good year for gaming! :thumbsup:

Aliens Vs. Predator - Mixed reviews but so far, I like it

Dawn of War 2: Chaos Rising - Expansion to 2009's hit RTS. Looking forward to this more than anything else this year by a country mile.

And yes.... we have to mention C&C4. From the beta it is looking like a complete farce. Though I might bargain bin buy it just for the story; the tiberium storyline has always been interesting.

Agree with the OP...except for Mass Effect 2 all the other sequels kinda are "mehhh" to me...Bioshock 2 was a personal let down for me. AvP is good...Im liking it, but it seems like its just an updated version of the original one. Better sound and graphics sure, but all the basic mechanics seem very unchanged...which isnt really a bad thing, but it IS 2010...youd think they would have/should have done more with the franchise...

So far this year only ME2 really grabs my attention, and the upcoming Awakening expansion to Dragon Age, I'll buy it without hesitation, and I might also buy Chaos Rising, the expansion to DoW II, but other than those... I'm not sure, I keep looking at some upcoming titles and I really can't see myself buying them. But at least ME2 alone is almost as good as the entire 2007 games chart. I might pick up AVP later, much later this year, I'm patient enough to wait until this year's Steam holiday sale, and this time I'll be sure to not miss it like last year, that was a heart-breaker.

And yeah Command and conquer went down hill IMO after Red Alert. The promotional advertising is fairly large for a series that died years ago.

This year has some potential (like all years) but I think we should wait until after Christmas before we decide if it was realized or not.
So far the only things I am looking forward to are Starcraft 2 (and I'm not hyper about it like some other folks) Deus Ex 3 (which probably wont come out this year) and maybe Mass Effect 2 which I still havent purchased yet. Will probably wait.
Also Wings of Prey was a nice little surprise because I wasnt expected any decent flight games ever again. Not since Fighters Anthology. Now all we need is a good space sim and we will be alright.
