engines are underpowered by their competition asian and germany alike. I see no reason to get these except for the AWD systems compared to their rivals.

But with AWD comes added weight and ultimately steering feel. Prefer a boring ride then? I'll get a Lexus or Merc instead 🙂

AWD is a must. 2WD should be left to economy cars.

FWD, perhaps (though I'd still say that is an ignorant and silly sentiment). RWD, no way. There's a reason F1 cars have RWD and not AWD, and it's the same reason most roadgoing Ferraris, Porsches, and BMWs have it.

I prefer rear wheel drive. As far as the engine choices go, more horsepower doesn't necessarily make a better car.

if the A5 is light enough, what does it matter?

according to MotorTrend, an A4 weighs 3715 lbs with quattro

according to edmunds, the A5 weighs 3737 lbs.

The 2.0T is plenty for an A4 (seeing as something like 95% of A4's are 2.0T), so I see no reason why it is considered weak for the A5, which is barely any heavier.

also, using the 2.0T may lower the base price of the A5. hopefully, since i think it's such a sexy car. a man can dream 😛

Beautiful car, awesome interior, great engines. It may not be the fastest...but the engines are solid and smooth. I wish they were selling the 3.0L Diesel in that car over here.

That is true, but I haven't ridden in/driven one..yet. My friend actually just completed his stage 3 after acquiring all the parts over a few months. 440whp and counting - it's insane.
