On Christmas eve morning, my 2010 tl had some issues starting up (never had an issue before). After turning the key, I would hear a intermittent chugging noise from the car attempting to start, but ultimately failing. I assumed it was the battery, but I saw no dash warnings. Tried a couple more times and failed, before I called acura roadside assistance.
They quickly dispatched a service-person for an emergency jump start. Before he arrived, I gave it one more go, for an extended period of time, and the car finally started up. However, it began chugging and shuddering for about 20 seconds with the RPM meter spiking between 1k and 2k rpms. Everything finally settled down, and I let it idle for a while. I then called roadside assistance to cancel the jump start. My car has had no issues starting up since.
What should I do at this point? Take it into the dealership and explain my situation? I'm worried there might be a more severe underlying problem. Any suggestions would be great. Note: I just had my oil changed and vehicle inspected a month ago at about 17k total miles.
Update: I just filled up on shell 93 on suggestion from a friend
