I didn't expect it to be staring at me.

I drove 1/2 way across the country with a pheasant (or some fowl) stuck in my grill :)

it went EVERYWHERE inside that engine! woah

that's a helluva frightening radiator ornament though, bit of an upgrade over the standard Toyota symbol, no?

I wonder how much in damage it cost? Stupid coyotes.........they tread on our land but we never tread on their land. How dare they come onto tracks when a car is on it.

That coyote had just enough time to think, "Wha....", before becoming one with that grill. At that speed, it probably was dead before any pain signals hit it's brain.

yeah, but I think the precision of the car-animal strike is the only reason the animal appears to be held together. If it didn't hit the radiator square on I think things could have gotten far worse, either in terms of pure gore and/or the safety of the driver.

yeah, considering I don't think the heart, or any of the other organs, actually stayed where they were supposed to be the moment the coyote got personal with the radiator. It was instant, hell the face, other than the tongue hanging out, looks like a coyote basically would, canines have an impeccable ability to showcase grimace and the blank eyes are the only thing (on the face, at least) that appear to give away it's not quite normal. ;)
