I would prefer to get (2) 512 sticks of twinmos3200, but that is over $400 canadian. I can get (2) 512 sticks of Kingston HyperX 3000 for $300 canadian. Has anyone been able to hit a fsb of 200 with these? The motherboard is a 8rda+. Thanks.

its not unheard of
you may have to sacrifice timings, but like that matters much anyways

where in canada can you get 2x512mb hyperX for 300???

others have been able to run 2-2-2-6 @ 200 mhz

i'm running 2-2-2-6 @ 184... i've done 2-2-2-6 @ 192 before as well.

i can't hit 200 cuz of my mobo... but once i do my mod, i'll let you know what speed i can do and what timing

Thanks for the replies. It looks like this is good value/performance ram. I'm adding it to my list for when I upgrade in a few weeks.

My HyperX pc3000 512mb module is currently running at 2-3-3-6 @ 404 Mhz (202 DDR) & 2.6 volts on my Epox SIS P4 MB.

Wouldn't do 2-2-2-6 @ 200 Mhz & 2.7 volts :( - wouldn't even post with those settings.

so it has to be the board..

I can hit 200Mhz on mine at lower multipliers. But I opted for the higher CPU speed, I run pretty stable at 175 x 12.5. 2.2Ghz is not bad :) I think my mobo is holding me back (A7N8X Deluxe) as things start getting hairy past 180. Unfortunately I don't have any PC3500 laying around to compare it to :)

Can you post the voltage for your RAM? What is the max voltage that these RAM can take?
Thanks.

I have 2x256 HyperX3000 on my 8k3a.

Running it at 202fsb 5-2-2-cas 2 1T @ 2.7v.

I love this stuff!

Paid only $102.
