2009 Honda Accord Coupe Loaded

Looks are good but at $28 -30K - why not buy a more sporting car?

Hyundai Genesis Coupe - RWD
Ford Mustang GT - RWD
Camaro V6 - RWD

I like the Accord, and I think it's a good value. I wouldn't get the coupe though, just because it's not practical.

In fairness it's much less ugly than the sedan, not that either is a real looker.

Absolutely; the coupe looks much better than the sedan

i liked the previous two generations a lot more. this current one is fugly. practically everything honda makes has gone fugly lately. toyota too. the nissan altima coupe is nicer looking but probably less practical. and probably not quite as well built.

camaro coupe would be an interesting alternative. about the same overall size, back seat is a bit smaller but that's the difference. camaro gets better highway mileage and the same city.

If you want a Honda coupe that is still pretty practical, get the cvic. It's only 30% less power, but makes-up most of this with 20% less weight. I think the civic looks a lot nicer too, although the interior isn't quite as nice as the Accord.

If you want a nicer coupe, FMR12B's suggestions are pretty good (Genesis/Mustang/Camaro).

Side Note: If they put a 220-240HP VTEC engine in the Civic, it would be an AMAZING car...but then the Accord couple probably wouldn't sell anymore...😛

Edit: SP

For a coupe in the 30k range I would be looking at the Nissan 370Z ($29,930) and Ford Mustang GT ($27,995). Both these cars play the coupe roll very, very well and for the money they're tough to beat. No family sedan coupe comes close.

No one said it's slow, some were just suggesting getting a more sporting car that is more sporty all around. At $30k there are many more choices than an Accord.

Not on the planet the rest of us live on.

MSRP for an Accord Coupe EX-L V6 Navi is $32,015. With accessories, the price can reach close to $40K. Most people won't need those accessories, but even assuming you skip them and get a good deal, you're still looking at high $20K's, maybe even over $30K.

lol... accord for $40K, what are you on?
What accessories? with navi you have selected all options beside "trunk tray" and "floor mats", they won't cost morethan $200 each.

V6 coupe EXL w/o navi is $29.3K, with easy $4.5K off we're talking about $25K after some options.

You don't know what you are talking about for sure. There is no major additional accessories for Honda/Acura because they only use trim level. There is no additional option package you can order. Even trunk tray and floor mats postmortemIA mentioned is included in price.

You are looking at $ 28k for V6 and $ 25k for I4. Fully loaded with all the fancy stuffs you can talk about like nav, dual zone automatic climate control, heated leather seats with power adj, etc. Now go research and tell me how much you come up with if you add those options to Gen Coupe, Mustang and Camaro.
