So they finally made an interior that resembles what the Japanese have been doing for years. Including high quality, non-cheapo hard plastic. Wow.

I'm just dying to know, WTF do you get out of a padded dashboard? I've had cars with and without, and to tell you the truth, that's right behind the size of the oil pan drain plug as far as ranking when I purchase a car.

it's time for another dashboard strokers anonymous meeting

Believe it or not, but the "nice looking 3 spoke sport steering wheel in GM vehicles " is my idea...
I used to work at the Tech Center 3 years ago...
Somebody asked - I gave them my feedback :D

As I recall, GM is sharing the undercarriage with the Malibu and the Saab 9-3. I love my Saab, but if I could get something that drove similarly and was cheaper to buy and service, then I'd have to consider it heavily.

How much of this statement is based solely on the fact that you know it's a Chevy.

The problem with the Malibu is not that it is poorly built (well, it's not the best either), but its image. I see a Malibu, I look for a rental car sticker or license plate frame.

I agree.

They need a new name if they want to revitalize this segment. The Malibu is just too well known--and seldom postively.

I think a golf clap for actually offering a redsign after just 4 yrs like foreign competition does is due.
ABOUT TIME, hanging on to designs for a decade or even worse redesigning a car and making it look like the old one 'Ford' was killing NA auto industry.

I did post a car psychology article a while back. people want new! not rehashes I don't car what it looks like, new Jetta's look like Corolla's new Sonatas look like Accords, who cares as long as it generates excitement in the brand.
