I actually do post on a car forum. But I agree with you that the majority of the kids on here are just posting with little to no idea what they're talking about.

Z06 remains the same. It's the base coupe and vert that's getting the nice upgrade. The rumor supercharged vette is the Blue Devil due to be released in '09.

Lol, so what sort of stature do you think you?ve earned from your declaration of posting on a car forum? Kids.

I sat in a C6 Z06 at an autoshow. Very nice car except for the silly pushbutton door releases. How would you get out if the battery went dead or had some other electrical malfunction?

It comes equipped with a Corvette hammer in the driver's side map pocket.

Inside the vehicle there is a door release handle located on the floor next to each seat you can pull in case power to the vehicle or FOB is lost.

Why? It wouldn't even be close. :disgust:

lol the M3 would get owned so hard.

It might well but which driver will be having more fun? ;)

What car will be easier to drive quickly? Which car is twitchier? Which car is better at being able to cope with under/oversteer? These are all things that don't go mentioned when people talk about lap times. And on a autocross course(which face it, is the closest most of us are going to get to a "track"), I'm sure the EVO X can beat both :D

As far as I can remember, Corvettes are usually quite twitchy at their limits as are M3s but from magazines, I just get the feeling that those Corvette drivers are working much harder than the cars it gets compared to.

Depend on what kind of car you are looking for. I don't see why M3 would get "owned hard". Why? The M3 engine is high revving but it isn't exactly a I4 Honda Vtec. If the 335i pull a 5 sec. In what way can the Vette "own" the new M3?

You realize how much quicker the vette would be around the track right?

 The specs are known for the next M3, it is going to be slow comared to a current generation vette, let alone this new one.

Sorry you lose, come again next time BMW fanboy on next week's episode of fantasy island.

Ohh sorry, I forgot this is ATOT. Where fantasy driver can drive fantasy car and get fantasy lap time base on spec.

Now we not talking about real lap time anymore?

Your're an idiot. All the specs of both cars are now known. Looking at just the power to weight ratio of the vette over the M3 makes it obvious which is going to win a race. Sorry dude, but no magazine is going to review these cars head to head because they are not even in the same class.

It is obvious with each post you know nothing about cars and are claiming "real lap times" as an arguement because you know of nothing else to say...

Fine, be an ignorant child...I will simply bump this thread when track times are out.

still, yay for a cheap fast coupe that looks cool outside... sans the orange paint.

Exactly. The Corvette lacks any finesse. Some of the fanboys here fail to realise this fact.

When you buy a BMW you?re paying for luxury, not a shell with a big engine.

I am not magazine racing dumbass...someone thinks that the M3 will beat a vette around the track...sorry not going to happen. Anyone who can say it will with a straight face knows nothing about the capabilities of the car. I am not saying which is better, I am simply stating which is faster. I am not saying you want the faster car etc.

That is like saying a Mazda Miata handles better than a Lotus Exige. Does the miata handle great? Sure, but no where near the Lotus. Notice I never said which is a better car or mentioned anything about comfort etc, only the FACTS.

Too many BMW fanboys on this site...about 5% of them probably actually own one.

You are talking about the new 420hp M3 and the new LS3 Corvette. Neither of which have been ragged around the same track by the same driver. Actually neither have been ragged by anyone yet. You have been called on this already in this thread, but you deffered the argument by claiming the poster was a kid.

Shut up until there is a some real life data to compare. Manufacturer specs tell us next to nothing about how a car goes; On a track or otherwise. If you think it does you need to stop sniffing the ink on 'Fordz Rock so hard, LOL!' magazine.

So, yeah. Shut it.
