I took my truck to bestbuy to get a st
Stereo installed and the stereo wont talk to the truck. Stereo wont turn off with key or chime when door is open. Tried 3 different wireing harnesses and still wont work. Does anyone know how i can test my trucks network to see if there is a problem.

You'd need to pull an electrical diagram of your car and check it against the wiring diagram for the stereo. You're probably not giving appropriate power to the stereo (eg it's not wired to ignition on). Also, usually things like chime, etc are not going to ever work with an aftermarket stereo. I don't think those things are controlled by the stereo anyways - it's separate.

It's a GM so all those sounds are fed through the stereo. It's kinda dumb but they've done it that way for decades.

You need the harness and the appropriate integration adapters for the chimes, OnStar, steering wheel controls, etc.

Oh, www.crutchfield.com and get whatever adapters and such they recommend. They know they their stuff.
