I made a GOTY voting thread like 2 weeks ago. It's buried somewhere.

Yeah, as having one GOTY lifts it to "superior console" status...guess that would make them all equal though as GoW was the '06 GOTY and Mario Galaxy was the '07...

I've not played MGS 4 but all I've seen and read about it makes it look pretty swift, so I can't complain. I am really enjoying Fallout 3 but it's not the best game out there I'm sure. And I agree, GoW 2 is NOT as good as GoW 1 but it certainly deserves to be on the list, waaaaay before CoD: World at War does...although it wouldn't get my vote.
