It looks like the Audi Driving Experience is back for 2008, with a bunch of free and paid driver training events. I did the free one at Pocono last year, and had a blast driving on the track!

When signing up for the free class, make sure to mention that you're thinking about purchasing a new Audi within the next three months ;)

The signup web site is here:

Already signed up. I'm going to the one in New Hampshire. This will be my second one, I went to the one out in Pocono as well, but last time I shelled out for the RS4 and R8. I don't have the money to burn right now to do that again, if I did ... I would be saving it to buy one of those two.

And what cool things to I get if I told them I was looking in the next 3 months verses tell them the truth ... year+ ?

I'll be going to the Poconos one, both days. Sign up quick, its already on wait list for the free one. Plus the Audi girls are better looking than the other manufacturers driving events. And they also have free food. Its unfortunate that the free driving experience is so limited in terms of track time. I'd rather skip all the parking lot bullshit and just do 30 laps at full speed. I kept telling the instructor, I do this for a living, you drive, I'll sit in the back and eat my chips. But I had to do all the events anyway.

Thinking of going to Loudon too, but its a five hour drive. Not sure its worth it for 10 minutes of track time. Especially at a "follow-the-leader" pace.

I got lucky, and my "class" only had two people in it. I was in a car for almost the entire class :)

Damn....I wish I had the money to blow on the R4 and R8 experience! Too bad the "DC" course is two hours away in WV! The the two day R8 experience out in CA looks awesome as well!

I did the A4 experience on Friday.. such a blast. Drove the A4, IS250, 328xi, and C300 4-motion around their auto-x setup.. then 3 laps around Infineon. Had a complimentary breakfast and got a free hat at the end! :p Needless to say, hooked on the Audi and am anxiously awaiting the diesel to come stateside. Can't beat the whole event being free.

What I wouldn't do for the $3500 2-day R8 program..
