2007wfp banding problems

The problem also exists on the 2007FP (non-wide screen). This is interesting, because from what I know the 2007FP uses a PVA panel, while the 2007FPW uses in S-IPS panel. My father-in-law recieved his 2007FP two weeks ago - the banding is way bad if you display a static gradient. To be honest, I though people might have been blowing that color banding issue out of propoprtion - until I saw firsthand how bad it is.
