CNET reviews have about zero credability. Two different people looked at the monitor and might very well have come to the same conclusions if you swapped the monitors they were looking at. Strikes me more like a first look than a review.

We need a behardware or prad.de review. Or at least more user reports.

They are each LG IPS screens of the newest generation with the same rarting from dell, but who knows.

I beginning to think I will go with the 20" viewable 4:3 1600x1200 with perfect viewing angles, no banding, 85Hz refresh, response time perfectly matching refresh rate, for much cheaper. Yeah a CRT... Just hope I don't get a hernia carrying it.

Yeah, cnet's not very good, but I'm looking for whatever's available on the subject. Many reviewers put these in two different categories, wide screen and not, avoiding the direct comparison. Further on that, why's the W version on the LCD buyer's guide when the non-W version isn't if it's so similar and in some cases a better deal?

Mainly uncertainty (lack of reviews).

OK, cool, thanks. I'll wait for some more on this before jumping on one or the other.

I just got my replacment 2005FPW which is perfect and has bragging rights. I think widescreen is a great idea more realistic and one day all games should support it and for the ones that don't or old games there is alot of fixes. http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/forum/
