The GMC "Denali" pickup was basically the Chevy Silverado SS.

Is this basically an "SS" in a suit?

LOL 20mpg highway? 1) 6.2 isn't fast, its fast for an SUV 2) What's the point?

an S500 does 0-60 in 6.1... not fast???

20mpg at 80 mph is an achievement, take your car to 80mph and report your mpg back, its not EPA estimated ill tell you that, subtract about 5-8mpg.

It's faster than a Subaru Legacy GT Wagon, has about 50% more cargo, carries about 50% more weight, and is only about 5MPG less on the highway.

That's impressive to me.

Definitely impressive, but if I didn't need to carry more than 5 people, I'd rather have a Magnum R/T or Magnum SRT-8.

I'd take a Trailblazer SS for under 30k.

Doesn't really matter. The R/T alone is faster than the Denali ;)

I still like SUVs, but I've become more of a wagon man in my old age :p

How cheap is the base on a SS? I would really like one, but don't they cost more than 30?

The cool thing that GM did is make the SS an option package on the standard Trailblazer trims. It's not it's own model decked out with a boatload of creature comforts jacking up the price.

Lowest I've seen is right around $31k MSRP, which I'm sure you can easily get under $30k after they are out for a few months. Plus I'm banking on a couple grand in GM points on a GM credit card taking that figure even lower.

Hey just because you and conjur can't afford one doesn't mean no one else should be able to have one.

It's to make up for the demand that Hybrids are decreasing.
