Those point and shoots do really well for Canon.

Canon / Noink are pretty close to even on the SLR front - Canon probably coming out on top due to some lower cost options.

Not suprised Canon kills Nikon on the P&S market since the layout is so poor on the Nikons!

Ha ha, did a search for a worldwide camera sales report and found one for "immediate online delivery" for the low, low price of $6,000. :D

This could be an intriguing year for DSLR sales since Sony is set to introduce (hopefully) three new models -- well, two more after the A200 recently launched. With four current models from the entry-level A200 through a professional level A900, Sony is set to join Canon and Nikon with comprehensive offerings. Canon is probably updating the 5D and the XTi fairly soon. Not sure when Nikon will announce any more models after the recent releases, though I think the D80 is due next.

Anyone know if anything is coming from Pentax?

Pentax should have the k10d replacement (k20d ,rumors are with a 12 megapixel sensor (NOT the same as the A700) and the k200d (k100d replacement , but with 10 mega pixel and improved AF etc)

I believe that Pentax are due to announce stuff ~20th January.

& Sony just spent more money on their FIFA "partner" licence than Nikon made in profits last year...

Gotta love deep pockets, unless you're a competitor!
