It looks like someone took the new IS350, new Avalon, Mazda 6 and a dash of Acura RL and threw them all into a blender and voila!

Front end looks like a sportier Avalon with thinner "cranked" headlights.

Looks like both Toyota and Lexus are trying to create a family "look" for their cars. You can see it in the new IS and GS and you can also see it in this Camry and the Avalon (grill, protruding bumper under the grill with sharp character line, "cranked" headlights pulled down towards the ground, bustle "Bangle" butt)

Almost my exact thoughts.

Its not bad looking, but it doesn't look original at all, for which I give a thumbs down. Sure just about all cars in a competing class look somewhat similar, but that looks ripped right from some other company's design studio.
 
looks ok but I can't get over how floaty carmy/solara drives. High quality cars, but vague steering, vague handling, mushy brakes, mushy throttle.

But if they put out a camry with the 280 HP avalon and then make a TRD SC kit for that engine, I will probably trade in my 03 accord for that. 😀

but soccer moms LOVE the mushy everything and floaty suspension.
