The Soltice looks ok for a GM product... I'm just hoping it has a stiff enough chassis and drives well... otherwise, that extra power is a total waste if you have a horrendous shake and twist as you go over small bumps and take corners aggressively.

I'm also wary of how good the engine will be. I know that GM's been sponsoring their sport compact drag cars that do use turbos but their Saturn Redline and Cobalt SS are both supercharged. We'll see how strong the motor is... it may just be a tweaked version of the Saab turbo engines.

Heard that GM is changing basically it's whole line of cars for the better... better designs and actual catering to needs of the general buyers' desires. OMG if it's actually coming true in the next couple of years. Pontiacs have been the wackiest designs evAr.

Base Solstice starts at 19,995. I would guess $24,995 for this one

I thought the Solstice was supposed to come out this year (2005). Why is there a new (GXP) version coming out before the initial one is released? Does anyone even own one yet?
