Of course it works. Office 2007 is the latest retail version of Office and Windows 7 is the latest retail version of Windows. Why would you think it wouldn't work?
This is Microsoft's page that states Windows 7 64-bit and Office 2007 Small Business are compatible:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/co...ness & Home Office&sc=Office Suites&os=64-bit
If you want something newer, there's the Office 2010 Beta:
http://www.microsoft.com/office/2010/en/default.aspx
"Note The 2007 Microsoft Office system programs client is a 32-bit application and can run on a Windows 64-bit platform (Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, and Windows Vista) but there may be some feature limitations as noted in the system requirements below."
I know it "works, " but I am more concerned with the limitations, and was wondering if there was something newer. I did come searches and heard that there are some incompatibility issues, especially with outlook. BTW, the above quote comes from microsoft's website.
The limitations are listed right there.
Send to OneNote 2007 print driver and Internet Fax not available on 64 bit OS. Groove Folder Synchronization not available on 64 bit operating system.
Except when I did some other research, I found many instances where people had other issues, such as outlook not working and whatnot. That is what prompted me to post this thread. I need outlook to work. I don't care about the minor limitations the Microsoft lists. I care about the ones that I came across from researching. If you are currently using it and have Excel, Word, and Outlook working with zero problems...then I will be happy.
I am using it with Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint with 0 issues.
