We are looking for a sedan and have narrowed down to 2 cars:

2007 Altima 3.5SE
2007 Accord SE V6

Altima will cost ~2k more than the Accord. Which one would you buy and reasons...Its really a tough choice but leaning towards the Accord right now b/c of the price

Altima has keyless start and power driver seats as added bonus...oh and vq35 engine

EDIT: Both Cars are Automatic transmission...CVT on the Altima

UPDATE: We ended up buying the 2008 Honda Accord EX (4-cyl).

Well, I'd go for Altima because of CVT, performance and styling. Options may be a bit better on Accord depends on trim, but options on Altima SE should also have almost everything as standard anyway.

Of course, that's only if my choice must be either of them. (I'd personally consider used G35 for alternative to Altima V6 or Accord V6, though)

Accord

Altima is cheap crap.

EDIT: I thought you meant the NEW Accord 2008. 2007 Altima > Old-Style Accord

Get Altima

2007 Accord designwas okay albeit boring. The 08 Accord is hideous. I would lean towards the Nissan.

Drive them both and see which you like better. Car and Driver did a recent comparison where the 2007 Honda Accord beat all its competitiors, including the Altima. The Accord might also get better fuel economy, but I can't say that for sure. I do know that I get around 31 MPG on my 2001 Honda Accord V6. Factor in reliability and resale value also.

Check on Yahoo! Autos for reliability scores.

I'd go for the Accord, but be warned: Change your tranny fluid every 30,000 miles, MAX, regardless of what the owner's manual says. Don't be like me and have a blown tranny when you reach half the recommended service interval.

I already drive a G35 (i am bit of a Nissan fan). The Altima/Accord is for the father and he wants a V6 this time. We looked at the Maxima also but didnt like the boxy interior of it. He liked the TL but doesnt wants to spend ~30k (wants to stay at ~20k-25k)

He has driven a 2001 Accord LX (4-cyl) for ~2-3 years and the interior of the 07 Accord resembles that car a lot. So right now, we are leaning towards the Altima but again, Accord has greater reliability and better resale value but on the other hand, Altima has that keyless start feature (we all love it on my G35) and looks better (but it is too common now in the sf bay area - it is like the camry now, every soul has it ;))

Will look at Avalon XL (base Avalon) tomorrow. Already looked at Camry and hated its cheap plasticy interior - very crappy interior, no refinement, inconsistent gaps at edges etc.)

Accord V6 SE will cost ~18.5k + TTL (LX V6 will be ~20k + TTL)
Altima 3.5SE will cost ~20.5k + TTL
2008 Accord EX (4-cyl) will cost ~21.5k + TTL
Maxima SE w/ Drivers package was going to cost ~25k + TTL (but didnt like its boxy interior)
Base Avalon XL will cost ~24k + TTL

Might end up going with 08 Accord EX 4-cyl (190 hp is plenty enough)
