Inspired by the EVO vs STi thread.....

Personally the TL-S looks more appealing and fancier, but I guess that comes with a price tax, but I wish that particular car wasn't FWD. The Legacy on the other hand is AWD and is a bit less fancier, but it seems to hit 60 faster than the TL-S by a slight margin.

Which one would you pick and why?

Well that depends on what you care about, having a nicer car or having a faster car?

<< driving the 06 G35 right now. On the G35, just get rid of the stock tires asap as they suck on this car. I am waiting for my stock tires to go bald...will be another year or so :( .. yeah, they really suck) but love the car overall. The 07/08s are even nicer.

I would go with the Subaru for a more (in my opinion) fun to drive car with easy performance upgrade paths, or if I lived in an area where it snowed a lot.

I would go with the Acura if I valued luxury more, or wanted better fuel economy.

You should make this a bracket tournament. Winner goes up against the G35.

You should be able to get the spec b for like 31k. I personally would choose it as a car, but as a mode of transportation, the acura wins. GPS and the climate control in the subies suck ass. You get lots of snow/rain where you go? The legacy will be tons of fun over there.

If you want more toys/gadgets you'll definitely want the TL. The TL trumps the Subaru hands-down when it comes to tech stuff. I cross-shopped between an 06 TL and an 06 Spec.b, I chose the TL though I didn't need it for snow or other stuff since I already had an STi and Titan for that stuff.

The Spec.b will be more fun to drive and better in all conditions though.

Dont know if I'd even go with the Spec B as the GT Limited is plenty of car and at $10K LESS than the Acrua is a no brainer.

Unless they've changed it since I looked, the Spec.B was the only way to get a manual and Navigation. Not to mention the better suspension and other small improvements of the Spec.B.

Dont think thats entirely true, but the spec B. is the only way to get the 6spd manual and other improvements. Better tires come stock as well.

The GT has a 5 sp manual but you would have to get the auto if you wanted the navigation package. FWIW, I have the 5 sp on my 06 GT wagon and just stuck a Garmin C350 on the windshield and saved $2K. If you really need the sport suspension with the Bilstein shocks for the driving you are going to do the Acura just might not fit the bill.
