2006 Sentra one of the least reliable small cars

Least reliable (Worst score first)

2007 Chevrolet Cobalt
2006 Nissan Sentra
2007 Volkswagen Jetta (5 cyl.)
2007 Chevrolet Aveo

Wow.. never thought Nissan would be in that group.

I wonder what happened?

What happened was they started putting those stupid commercials out. God I hate those things. The 1987 Sentra I used to drive worked well enough, but my 1994 Altima cost me lots of money.

On a side note..
Most Reliable Upscale/Large Car
Most reliable (Best score first)
Lexus ES350 (pictured)
Lincoln Zephyr*
Hyundai Azera*
Acura TSX
Acura TL

Least reliable (Worst score first)
Jaguar X-type
Chrysler 300 (V8)
Saab 9-3

woo-hoo for Hyundai.

Uhuh, and how can they tell an 07 model is least reliable....😕

EDIT

Most Reliable Sport/Sporty car
Most reliable (Best score first)
Lexus SC
Toyota Camry Solara (4-cyl.)
Subaru Impreza WRX

Mercedes-Benz SL
Mercedes-Benz CLK
Mercedes-Benz SLK (V6)

Ford Mustang (V6)
ROFL, Toyota Camry Solara is a "sporty" car? Bwahahahahaha

And Corvette is least reliable? 😕 Sheesh

The MINI Cooper is listed as MOst reliable under sporty. Apparently the writers didn't look at any actual data when they made those lists.

Tell that to the guy on TV who lives in his for weeks at a time.

I would say Civic/Corolla/Focus/RSX/Scion TC would be the most reliable small cars

That is a bit surprising. The other cars on that list don't shock me a bit though.

Nissan Frontier (V6)

Doesn't surprise me. I have a friend who bought one about a year ago. Brand new 2006, it was his dream car. Metallic red with black leather interior...the thing was beautiful. However, he had a bunch of problems/complaints and Chevy did nothing to fix them...they just kept telling him that it was normal or they'd do a quick fix and a week later the problem would reoccur. He got rid of it a couple months ago and bought a Cadillac CTS.

BTW-He has a Honda S2000 (well, it's his wife's car) that has been perfect. No problems whatsoever.

It really comes down to how you define reliable and how these quacks actually test.

When I hear "reliability" I think of not being stranded on the road or having major mechanical/safety issues. While non-major QA is definitely a GM issue, I still can't put any faith in this crap

Corvettes are pretty and fast and have good engines, but as an overall car they are not very reliable.

Not suprised the two low-end Chevy cars are on the list. (Cobalt and Aveo.)
It seems america doesnt know how to build sturdy, cheap cars any more.
If you want quality you gotta pay an arm and a leg.

Shame too because when I rented some Chevy cars last month they seemed good to me, a little sparse on features but decent enough.
Of course, its the rental agency that deals with all the problems, not me.

I would tend to agree with you. However, when you shell out almost $50k for your dream car you want it to be perfect.
