You don't get it - Lexus went up in a whole series of numbers... there should be a bigger difference than just the engine. Hell, going from 300 to 330 was a big difference.

Should a BMW 3-series look exactly the same as a 5-series ? Or a 5-series the same as a 6-series ? Never is.

Should a BMW 3-series look exactly the same as a 5-series ? Or a 5-series the same as a 6-series ? Never is.

The numbers aren't the series. GS is the series. 430 and 330 represent the engine displacements.. 4.3L and 3.3L. BMW's 2nd and 3rd digits are what represent the displacement.

It was all coincidence, they just happened to give the newer model a bigger engine (when they went from the 3.0 to the 3.3), a newer/bigger motor doesn't mean a comlpete redesign. Sometimes they carry over the old displacement, sometimes they beef it up
