im runnin 1of2 gig sticks that i got from ocz till i send the other one in and get a new one. i guess i should probably check to see if the computer runs on only one at a time, or if it is indeed the stick i have out of the tower that is bad.

lol.. i guess i got excited eh?

btw my config runs cs:source at 100fps avg with no tweaks at all..

also got my sound to work - problem with the on board sound with the dg965wh was i didn't have service pack 2 installed :/

alls good now.😀

ive got 2x1GB OCZ 667 Gold (1.9v) on mine... its running at 266. Bios update helped a bit, but not much.

should it be running at 333?

Does anyone know if I can you the rc1 key they sent on a temp system and then when they ship vista ultimate I can then use it on the new system (the old system will then be wiped out)?

Because I wont have a fully functional core duo 2 system for another couple of months but I would like to try out vista.

The keys for RC1, RC2, and RTM are all different.

I used the provided RC1 key with the ISO of RC2 I downloaded from MS. So information in previous posts maybe/is incorrect.

Well, they gave me different keys for different releases and the keys that I got for RC1 didn't work for RC2. Maybe some got lucky, I didn't. 🙁

They WILL still ship Vista Ultimate, yes?
I haven't pulled the trigger yet...still got about 3 weeks to decide.
Still unsure about the motherboard & having to buy new ram & new hard drives.
Pondering getting it & swapping it for an Opty 165 setup...that way I can keep my old ram & old hard drives.

Just received email regarding the Vista Ultimate

"The final version should ship with both 32-bit and 64-bit versions. However, only one activation code will be included. Once activated, the code cannot be used to activate the other version at a later date."

When:
We are working to get these to you as soon as possible. You should be notified
by e-mail when your order is shipping out.

Still nothing yet....I've gotten that email but it's been 2 months since Vista release. Why are they taking so long?

Well nothing for me yet either.

When attending the Intel training 2 weeks ago the Rep said that Vista Ultimate would be forth coming the 2nd week of March. We patiently await.
