I am really thinking about getting this model. What do you guys think? Seems like a nice little car at a decent price + 35mpg average. Any opinions?

How much? and how are you paying for it?
I was also thinking about waiting til the 07s come out then get the 06 used for a lot cheaper, yet still in great condition. I dont really want an infiniti, as they dont really appeal to me much. What kind of Lexus could I get in the same price range in good condiition?Originally posted by: swaq
I think you could get a lot nicer used car for the same price. There are plenty of nice used Lexus and Infiniti cars for that price range. If you're really set on a new car then that wouldn't be too bad I guess. The main thing I have against Civics is that there are so many of them and kids do dumb stuff to them (so you'd get lumped into the same group as them just by owning a Civic). Personally I'm partial to Toyotas and Subarus.

factor in maintenance price/parts price/insurance/gas then those lexus/infiniti cars are not a good deal when talking civic budget. not to mention those cars have lost the most trouble free years of their lives already.

Okay, well how about a 2004-2005 Toyota Camry? Still should have trouble free years left in it and it gets 24/33 mpg.
[edit] Or a brand new Toyota Corolla. Same price range and 32/41 mpg. [/edit]

I was looking at the EX, and for $2000 more, it didnt seem that much more special.

My insurance was $300/year more on the EX vs. the LX. I would have got the LX had I known beforehand.
That said, the EX is a good value considering the features you get. On the CDN model, you get alloy wheels, disc brakes, and a power sunroof, along with nicer trim and radio controls on the steering wheel.

I believe the LX also has radio controls on the steering wheel if Im not mistaken. Would you still consider the LX>EX even with these features?
