2006 ford f-150 and 2006 lincoln Mark lt

Why is that the 2006 model lincoln mark lt has base starting price around 40,000 and the ford f150 has a base starting price at $20,000. The ford f150 does have a base price if you get the king ranch model which start at $37,000. But arent the mark lt f150 pretty much the same truck?
 
They seem very similar. I'm guessing the Lincoln is a little more upscale but maybe you're just paying for the name.
 
The base F-150 has a V6, the Mark LT has the 5.4 litre V8 (the higher of the two V8s offered in the F-150). It also has all the interior goodies of the fully optioned F-150 plus more. Outfitting an F-150 XLT comparable to the Mark LT gets you a $33,000 truck that still doesn't have leather or even the same total amenities as the Mark LT.

they have the same body, other than that the suspension and what not are different, more luxury in the lincoln. same frame though and i think the motors are the same as well.
