2006 Dodge Ram MEGA Cab

Analog

Lifer
The all-new 2006 Dodge Ram Mega Cab's 145.2 cubic feet of interior space features the industry's most innovative seating and storage configurations, including the first reclining rear seats available in a pickup truck, tilting back from a 22 to 37 degree seatback angle for added comfort. The rear-passenger area of the Dodge Ram Mega Cab offers best-in-class leg room of 44.2 inches and the rear seats also split 60/40, fold down and move forward, providing numerous configurations for maximum interior cargo capacity and flexibility.

The continued urbanization of pickup trucks does nothing more than increase the price of trucks for those of us who use a truck as part of our livelihood.

Engineers re-proportioned the cab and the pickup box by replacing the eight-foot long box with the Ram 2500's six-foot, three-inch box, providing an additional 20 inches for the cab.

Largest cargo volume behind rear seat?7.6 cubic feet

More interior space, small bed area. WTF is the point? Its TRUCK. Before long, they are just going to take minivans, and put a 3 foot bed on the back of them. I guess that is what people really want in the end. Full seating for a family of 6, and a little tiny bed on the back just so you do not feel like such a pussy.

My wife works at one of the major chain home improvement stores, so I go by there a lot. A current trend is people buying quad cab vechiles with tiny beds (like the Ford Sportrac), and then buying a 9 or 10 foor trailer so they can actually carry a load longer than 5 feet or so. GG to those people, it must feel nice to drop $25K on a "truck" and then need to blow $1K on a trailer just to hold your stuff.

Perhaps your taking this a little too personally.

I like big interior space on a vehicle, and for $25K I would prefer to pay one more thousand dollar for a trailer to carry things than some $5k for a trailer to carry people.
I feel however that the wheels look too small in regard to the truck's size, they should be increased in total diameter at least by 20%

May be an SUV or minivan don't have big enought engine for the majority of the population therefore they produce this thing. However, a truck that can't carry a full sheet of 4x8 is use less.
