I'm towing my gfs cobalt cross country. My mom accidentally hit the lock button inside last night which sets the alarm and her wireless entry fob doesn't work.

So when I open the door the alarm starts and I should be able to start the car to disable it, only the ignition seems to be locked? Anybody?

Disconnect the car battery until you find a replacement battery for the remote. Then unlock with the fob once battery is replaced in it.

If its like my old POS cobalt, pull the door handle hard enough and itll come off. You can open the door then.

At least with Subaru if you simply turn the ignition on it should turn off the alarm.

And what do you mean by the ignition being locked?

Who would steal a cobalt? 😉

Are you sure you don't just need to move the wheel to free up the ignition, or are you trying to steal someone's car and asking for help?

Wheel should always turn one direction some. If wheel is under stress the direction it won't turn, ignition won't turn.
