i don't care if it has a V12, if this thing only has 303 horses and not even a huge amount of torque. it'd just make more sense to buy an altima 3.5SE for the higher resale value.

On a serious note, as difficult it is to believe, Chevrolet has actually IMPROVED the looks of one of their models.

Didnt notice thats the the 5.3 motor, I guess they are going to start dumping that motor in everything, its going to be in the Monte Carlo as well. Not a bad choice, they have had good luck with that motor in the pick-ups.

I have had it in three vehicles. Spins up reaall fast. I like it ALOT, same with the 6.0HO and the 8.1 all the vortec's are nice.

AFAIK the 3.5SE doesn't drop 323ft.lbs of torque...

GM isn't Nissan. GM's had the torque steer problem pretty much under control since the 455 Toronado, the 502 Caddys, and the 300HP Northstars. Just because Nissan can't handle thier 255HP doesn't mean GM can't handle 300

OMG! 300hp in that fcuking platform? I just drove the 2004 v6 and I have to say it had trouble laying down and coping with the pathetic 180hp it had. The wheels span under reasonable throttle input IN A STRAIGHT LINE, let alone cornering. The brakes were off a supertanker. You needed to call the engine room to request retardation. The springs? What, it had some?! Somebody had stolen them and put teddy bears at the corners instead.

I know this will be 'uprated', but when the base car is so weak I can't bring myself to imagine it will be some 'Performance benchmark' car.

Updated platform or not, I pity the fool that has to drive this car.
