I'll be there with my family. We have 12 seats right at the finish line.
I'm hoping for nice weather, but it will be a great day of racing.

Need two fillers for those seats?

I will pay what you ask within reason.

But yes, it will be an awesome day of racing. Any picks? (pm me if you have a tip please) I've been to a few breeders cup at Churchill but the stakes are out of this world.

EVERY SINGLE RACE is 2 million+

My uncle owned half a horse who ran in the race that is for Kentucky Derby favorites, finished 2nd by a nose after being the fav, and then he sold it to a Saudi Prince for 4 million and it didn't run in the Derby. :) It was pretty funny to see him on TV wandering around cause he is just a character =]

Lets half a horse quips ensue...

No, he is a horse vet who went in on the horse for like 50k on a whim (sperm of Seattle Slew) and owns like maybe 1-2 small time horses at a time.

hey, if you wouldn't mind ask your uncle for his picks. thanks in advance. I've got a couple leads but damn they all such good horses. I'm still sticking by my boy Perfect Drift, but he'll have a hard time against the young'uns.

I don't think he puts regular action on races, or in any way that is more professional than a granny :p He is more of the, stick the hand in the horses rear end to check babies and do other farm calls in the Lexington area.
To this day I am traumatized by the what I saw happen with my 12 year old eyes while visting with him, after he put a plastic sleeve over his arm next to a pregnant horse.

I had to bump this thread cause i couldnt beleive the field when i first saw it just now. Brigning perfect drift and giacamo to compete with brother derek, lawyer ron, sun king, and bernardini  this is the most amazing field of horses i have scene since well...ever.

Look out for Malt Magic in the juvinille. Baffert has a way of making colts run well, and this horse has the breeding. Pegusus Wind in there as well though could make a good quinella bet, with Circular Quay rounding out the tri.
A lot of the other races are difficult to handicap as they are first timers or really young fillies who are just getting their legs and no telling if they will freak at the crowds or what. Pletcher has sooo many good horses in the fields though, really hard to pass some of them up. Fleet Indian in the distaff for example, hard to pass up.
Bernardini though will be the story of the day though. When he pulls off and manages to dominate this field like hes done others in the past it'll be one for the history books. Its sad to see that horse do what hes done and not get the crown cause of those crazy 20 horse derby fields.

Why do you think I'm so excited about it?

It's nothing for a 15 to 20 to 1 horse to win it. The big names that people are familiar with will bring the odds down to those that don't play. Leaving those that play a pretty price on some damn good horses.

Thanks for the tips. I'm doing nothing but studying friday night. Don't count out perfect drift, I still think he'll be in the money. The 5 million dollar classic is going to be a handicappers dream. The quality of the field is some good stuff. Not to mention the purses on every race.

-edit-
Barbaro was the king and beat Bernardi handily in the derby trials (I "think"). Barbaro was this seasons master. Sad he broke down. He's doing well though.
