so i have a samsung 191t and a 2005fpw, i know the backlight bleed is pretty popular on the 2005fpw, mine doesnt seem so bad with the backlight it never gets super black, but at least its even. but what i do notice is that say if your watching a dvd on the 2005fpw and it doesnt fill the whole screen the black bars, arent so much black, as they are kinda of lit up and maybe a small red tint to it. i noticed this on my friends 2005fpw also, but my 191t never did this, the blacks where decently black ( realize lcd's limitations in this regard ).

for general desktop work the 2005fpw is great, and games and movie that take up the whole screen, but once you get some black bars going ... the backlight is little annoying.

i have a 2405fpw coming monday, can i expect it to perform better in this situation (more like my other samsung).

Not sure how the black levels of the 2001 and the 2005 compare, but I had a 2001 before the 2405 and the black levels of the 2405 are MUCH darker than the 2001's.

i would say if the room is bright its alot less noticeable, i just like to watch my movies in the dark, and thats where i start to notice it.

the 2001 is an LG panel like the 2005 so it would make sense, and the 2405 is a samsung panel like my 191t
