2005fpw tweaking out

Hi all.

I've had a 2005FPW for about 8 months and it's been a treat. Unfortunately one night I had it on connected to my computer, and suddenly the screen began to scroll and jitter in such a way that I couldn't read anything. I thought maybe my video card was overheating so I turned off my computer and unplugged the DVI cable from the card. Lo and behold, the RGB test box popped up... and was also stuttering, with flashes of green light on the left side. I tried cycling through the connections and it's not connection specific as it stutters for all 4 outputs. You can't even read the white lettering that tells you what output you're on.

I tried turning the monitor off, unplugging it, unplugging all the USB cables attached to it, I performed the factory reset (trying as best I could considering I couldn't read the menu, just saw the highlighted bar), but nothing seems to work.

The people on the Dell forum weren't much help (my subject title stated specifically that this was not related to the computer, and I was told to install new video card drivers, or try unplugging the DVI cable after I already said that I did.)

My reasoning for not sending this back right away is that my invoice is upstate while I am in my college dorm right now, and I'd like to not be monitor-less for the next couple of weeks until I go home.

If anyone could provide some insight, whether a fix or just a thought as to what is happening (because I have no clue), that would be much appreciated.
