anyone use the svideo on the 2005fpw, and you 1:1 and stretch? how does the quality look. can you take a pic maybe? thanks.

Given that SVideo is 480 lines, interlaced, with enough horizontal resolution to give about 360 distinguishable pixels, what do you expect it to look like? Hint: The better the display unit, the more you'll notice just how bad the SVideo signal itself actually is.

I just got done digging out some old cable to test the svid and composite signals. I can say that the picture quality is not bad. Don't expect a super high quality picture, but it is definitely watchable. I tried the svideo and the composite connected to my directtv reciever and there was not much difference between the two, but the svideo was slightly better. The pip is great and the picture quality with such a small pip window is pretty good. The stretch for regualar tv is not that great so I switched to aspect with small bars on the sides and it looks better.

Well sure, it'll make the very best of the poor input signal that is standard resolution TV. The lack of quality is in the input signal, not the output device. I just wanted to warn you that such an excellent output device will expose this weakness - unlike your average TV tube which is both too blurry and too slow to let you notice.
