2005FPW refuses to work

At home my Dell 2005FPW works perfectly fine. I brought it to work today and it will not work. It is a Dell Workstation 450, it is running a Quadro FX 500 video card with both VGA and DVI support. I have tried hooking up the 2005FPW via VGA and DVI, in both cases the monitor gets no signal. I have an analog LCD display also and it works just fine, both via VGA and via DVI (vga => dvi adapter). I downloaded the drivers for the 2005FPW, still no luck. Any clue why it wont work?

I know this is stupid but make sure you have the monitor to read the correct form of output your outputing it to. You have to set it D-SUB or DVI-D..

Yeah, i had checked that but thanks.

I finally got the VGA input to work after installing new Nvidia drivers among other things, not sure which thing actually got it to work. The DVI connection still refuses to work, however. The computer has a DVI-I connection but the monitor is DVI-D, therefor i'm using a DVI-D cable. I don't think that should make a bit of difference, but thought it worth mentioning. I am also noticing that the middle third or so of the screen produces blurry text while hooked up via VGA that i had never noticed at home when it was hooked up via DVI. The left third and right third of the screen however are perfectly crisp. Grrrrrr, stupid stupid analog.

EDIT: Yeah, i have rebooted more times than i can count.

any other ideas? the vga connection is incredibly annoying with the blurry issues as stated above. I'm determined to get the dvi to work.
