Hey there. Just got the 2005FPW monitor and I had a few questions.

1. When I got into windows my mouse response time was slow all of a sudden and I needed to speed it up. When I play WoW I have the same problem and I made the mouse sensitivity greater but the mouse still seems to lag. Is there a way I can fix this lag so the mouse is just as fast as it was when I had my CRT? I remember seeing a post somewhere of someone having the same problem and in order to fix it they needed to make a settings change in the monitor service menu.

2. Is it common to see a screen door sort of effect on this monitor? I only seemed to really notice it in WoW. Is this a "problem" or something common with LCDs and something I need to get used to?

3. Again in WoW when I turn the camera around I notice that the characters get somewhat blurry. Is this also common in LCDs and something I need to get used to from switching from a CRT to an LCD?

4. When veiwing dark webpages (HardOCP forums for example) there is a large black bar on the right hand side? Any idea what this is? About an inch or two in from the right it's dark and then a 2-3 inch black bar, then normal.

Thanks for your time and any input!

Well, what resolution are you playing at?

double check your monitor refresh rates. run them as high/fast as possible for your resolution.

also bigger resolutions will affect your mouse a little. normal mice are 400dpi, and the MX510 is 800dpi. if you're running like 1600x1200 or something, i'd recommend looking into a new 1600dpi or better mouse like the MX518, the razer diamondback, or some of the new 2000dpi laser mice.

your CPU might also be really weak, so try plugging the mouse into the PS/2 which uses less cpu cycles than the USB port.

Thanks for the replies. I am the current ownder of a MX300 and I just purchased a 3000+ AMD64 so I don't think it's a processor problem.

I am running the game at the LCDs native resolution.

1. This happened to me when i went to 2405fpw. I tried everything, moniter drivers, 'sperimental video drivers, nothing....until I re-installed windows, but it was time for a fresh start anyway (yep, that time of the month:D)

2. ??? have no idea what you are talking about ????

3. You may be talking about tearing. The top half of an object moves faster than the bottom for example. Get use to it. Cranking up the Anti-Aliasing helps for me.

4. Sounds like an issue someone else had with their2005. had to RMA it IIRC.

Hope this helps and you realize that there is more to life than WOW and find a gf then realize there is BF2 and you lose your gf to BF2.........All is BF2.......:D:D:D
