Hey,
So I purchased a 2005fpw a couple weeks ago and on the first 1/6th of the screen or so on the left are these faint lines that can be seen in some backgrounds... Looks sort of like disturbance... and they go down the screen pretty fast (From top to bottom). I've tried moving the monitor, tried to see if rotating it would help, but that hasn't helped.
So I got a new monitor from Dell and now this one has worse back lighting issues, and it also has these faint lines only on the 1st one sixth of the screen (can be seen on front pages like anandtech.com and blue backgrounds that aren't too dark or too light).
I've got it plugged into DVI, and I'm using a 5900se evga geforce card. Any ideas? Thanks!
I have to send one back (obviously this replacement is going back, the one it was meant to replace is much better (some purplish corners but no where near as bad backlight bleeding)) and I'm wondering if I should even bother to get another replacement or if this phantom line thing is due to my video card/dvi cord/etc... Any clues?
Thanks!
