2005 USC vs 1995 Nebraska

im sick of hearing about USC and I hope texas beats them. That Nebraska team was pretty good. Lots of studs

And I agree with mpitts Michigan would have killed them

USC, hands down. Old timers are voting for Nebraska.

The 1995 Nebraska team is generally regarded as one of the all-time greatest college football teams. I have a hard time saying USC is "hands down" better.

stop worshipping USC
they had an easy season. try playing Penn State, Ohio State, or Texas. hmm
woops, they didn't play either of them.
USC woulda got thrown around like a little boy in a big boys sport.

ESPN has lost credibility in my mind since, instead of doing sports journalism on relevant stories, they are reduced to the sports bar fan type of reporting where they ask stupid, totally pointless questions such as these.

they do play texas... and you will be proven wrong, it will be close, or a blowout by USC, thats the only 2 ways it will go.

The only advantage that USC has over 1995 Nebraska is that Nebraska couldn't exploit USC's depleted pass defense. Other then that, Nebraska hands down.

yea they will get to play them. lookin forward to that game too
but im talking if they had played all three of those teams in the season, everything would turn out a lot differently
if they woulda won those games, they wouldn't have been a blowout

I wouldn't expect ANY team to blow out the #2, #3 and #4 teams in the BCS.

I'm not sure what you are trying to say.

im suggesting that USC is only where they are at because of the easy season they had, and that throwing in those other teams would have them far away from the first spot. too bad the only 2 games OSU lost were not because OSU was a bad team, but rather because they weren't playing at nearly their best. but can't dwell on the past.
either way, USC rode on some luck this year with their season the way it was.

Tommy Frazier + Ahman Green + a badass defense that included Grant Wistrom, Jared Tomich, Terrell Farley, and their safety (Tyrone Willis or Williams maybe?) = greater than '05 USC.

I'm from Iowa, hate the Huskers, was only 9 at the time, and still remember this team like yesterday. They were amazing. The Blackshirts absolutely mauled UF in the Fiesta Bowl (I think) were awesome. USC must absolutely PASTE Texas for me to believe that they could contend with this team.
