Anyone ever drive one? I think they look sweet.

I'm trying to find a semi rare car but still be maintanable and I understand that this is a Saabaru with a nicer interior from talking to people.

I found one with 55,000 miles for 11,900 but I think I could talk them down. AWD and automatic which is ok with me! Please don't post about getting a manual.

I used to own a Linear. It was a good car. Engine and drivetrain was Subaru so that was bulletproof. Saab did the leather seats and some other interior furnishings. Overall a good buy at the time. I think you should be paying less than 11.9 though.

Indeed. The front grill is totally Saab so it looks great. The rear is hella ugly though.

Really the only difference is cosmetic. Being that it's a lot less common you may have more difficulty finding body parts if you're ever in an accident. Other than that I see no reason it would be any more expensive to own.

Heads up,
There are only 200 06 92-X made with a manual transmission. I'd say that it will be a great collectable car 10-20 years from now

The auto is a 4spd and not exactly wonderful but it would work. I wouldn't bother bringing it to a Saab dealer, I would think most Subaru dealers would work on it if not independent ones will of course. Apart from the cosmetic changes it got a faster steering rack and mildly revised suspension setup from the normal wrx. It's a better wrx than a stock wrx and probably better taken care of.

The only good looking Subaru

I think a majority of the current Subaru fleet looks better than the 9-2X Aero.
Now, the AWD 9-3 Aero? OMG that's pretty sexy. It has a nice sound too. There was a guy who had one on campus, and I loved it.

Is the 9-3 at all sourcing any Subaru in it, or is the 9-2X the only model that is a Saabaru? Because the base WRX is far more attractive than every other Saab vehicle imho, though on looks alone, the 9-3X Aero tops it.

i have a linear and i echo these comments, i paied 10k for mine in '08, has less then 30k miles on it

11.9 @ 55k is not a good deal

i get mine serviced at my local GM dealer, however this might only work because he lives next door

Edit: Subaru WRX/Saabaru Aero should not be driven with an automatic...
Do not do that.

No Subaru in the 9-3 at all.

I sort of wish I bought one when Saab was putting $6K on the hood and you could get the turbo one for under 20K. Ended up getting a Mazda3, which I like, but every now and then I go to Tahoe and AWD would have been nice.

2.0 low-end torque are mutually exclusive so yes the manual does make a big difference ;) That is, unless you plan on modding.
