2005 Mustang Convertible

Not bad at all...

i saw at least 10 coupes on the road this weekend.

meh, I'm starting to have doubts about the 05 Stang,

Maybe I just need to testdrive one to come around...

Yep. I've seen a bunch too, both here in IL and back in CA. They're nice, but I'm not as impressed with them as I was when I first saw them. The "wow" factor really wore off fast on this one.

hmm, not liking that profile view... the rear lines & angles (or lack thereof) don't lend to an open-top style like that. My .02.

Meh...

No thanks.

EDIT: I'm not a very big fan of the coupe anyway. I don't dig the retro look, if I wanted retro, I would buy an old car.

Doesn't matter what I think, its a Mustang, and I'll still see 5 at every stoplight.

do they still feel loose on the corners and slugish when you are trying to open them up?

If so, count me out.

Looks OK but what's up with the ride height? Looks like a lifted truck. It needs to come down 2".

Indeed. That puppy needs to learn "Sit" or it'll be accused of stealing Toyota's "At least one foot of clearance on all cars" styling. 😛

what the fack are you both talking about? there are trucks parked near the mustang in both pictures and both trucks have gobs more ground clearance than the 'stang

I finally saw an 05 coupe on a dealer's lot the other day (I'm not a Ford guy, though I still kind of like the design). For some reason they got it in what they call "Legend Lime".

It is without a doubt the worst color I have ever seen on a new car of any brand. Completely hideous.

I used some ceative wording but look at it. It sits way to high, like all Mustangs. It needs to come down a bit.

It's an exaggerated metaphor haggling the relative ride height. For a "sports car" it should be a lot lower down.

Exactly. The Mustang is supposed to be the pseudo practical sports car (which is why it survived & the F-Body didn't).

A stock 05 GT is actually pretty low, I've ridden in a coworker's. It doesn't feel very high, but it's high enough to avoid problems with ordinary roads/parking lots.

any lower and it won't fit in a parking lot!
